Welcome to Walking in the Spirit.

Many years ago it struck me that there are many that try to live by their wits, their own skills, strength and will power. Yet as members of the Kingdom of God we are encouraged to live our lives under the guidance, direction and power of the Holy Spirit. In his letter to the Galations, Paul uses the term "walk in the Spirit" and there you have it - We are to live by W.I.T.S. - Walking in the Spirit and no longer according to the old sinful nature.

Easy to say, not so easy to do, I think. With the material we present here, we hope to provide some insight into the principles and character attributes that we are shown in the Bible as things worth developing into our own lives. We trust we can do this in such a way that all may realize that this is not "Rocket Science" and thus beyond the grasp of those of us that are just ordinary people. We expect to provide opportunity for feedback and discussion as the site develops. Our overall prayer is that in some way we can be a source of encouragement or inspiration to you and thus spur you on to a more passionate and intimate walk with Him.

The web site is organised (dare I say ?) into a number of different areas.

Under WITS Concepts: we discus some of the basic understandings and try to define some common terms, just to put a stake in the ground.

With "You're Not Alone" we preview some devotional studies that we prepared. We are looking at how to publish the complete set - watch our News pages for updates.

Resources: here we collate various books, songs and videos along with some classic "not to be missed" sermons. Many and varied items here.

The final two areas are:

Beginnings - a series of 17 lessons that cover six basic areas that are considered essential pre-requisites prior to moving from the milk onto the solid food mentioned in Heb 5:11-16

and

Church Life - a series of 24 studies that try to cover the many aspects of what, who and how the church is and should function.

Both these areas contain extensive scripture references and these are linked to BibleGateway.com so one can see the verses for themselves. These are largely based upon material from Ern Baxter, as are some of the resources mentioned previously.

One reason for making the above lessons and studies available is that as the end-time harvest unfolds, there will be a demand for material that will propel those new in the faith into developing solid foundations and correct understandings of how to walk-in-the-spirit day by day as disciples.
